Liverpool have targeted Sead Kolasinac for many windows and it looked like that Klopp would get his man at LB which is a position that had been taken on by a make-shift LB in the shape of James Milner. But, yesterday, it was confirmed by Juventus that they had agreed a bosman deal for the 23 year old LB. The Bosnian will be joining the Old Lady from Turin at the end of his contract which expires in July of this year.
With Liverpool having acquired Matip from Schalke, it seemed that only a fee was left to be agreed between the 2 teams for the buyout of Kolasinac but it seems the young LB had his heart set out on a move to Italy instead. T’is a shame really as I feel that the Bosnian would have fit right into Klopp’s side with his constant pressing and attacking prowess down the left and he would have slotted in perfectly alongside Matip on the left of Liverpool’s ever evolving defense.
A target that has been missed out again by Liverpool but one that may not cost us in the long run as Milner has made that his position his own. Jonas Hector could be one to look at instead now that Kolasinac has seen greener pastures in Italy. We wish him the best at Juventus nonetheless.
