Liverpool, attacking wise, have been incredible this season but injuries and international duties have seen the strike force come down to small number. Julian Brandt is a new name that has been linked to the Reds but he was quick to dispel rumours linking him away. The youngster has been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s team since the German manager first arrived at the club but it does seem to be a dead end.
Speaking to BILD, Brandt spoke about how he would not give into attempts to sign him by Bayern Munich again and then referenced any other teams that though they could sign the youngster as well. Liverpool’s name has always been thrown around when signing German talents when Klopp arrived but Brandt seemed to be one that could occur because of his ability and his method of improving as a player. But it does seem likely that the German will sign an extension with Bayer Leverkusen which will put an end to the rumours linking him away from the German club.
If the deal was to occur, as players can be swayed by many things, he would actually fit into the Liverpool team straight away as he is an attacking and direct player that loves to feed off the fans and the ability of those around him which would encourage Liverpool to push for a deal. Price would not necessarily be an issue from Liverpool’s perspective but it could become a stumbling depending on how much they value the youngster. Time will tell with regards to where Brandt’s future lies but it seems, at the moment, that it is very much with Bayer Leverkusen.
