Every manager has his forte… Klopp’s is that he knows when a youngster is good. He has a knack for that kind of thing. He has done it at Dortmund with Gotze, Gundogan and Hummels among others and also with Liverpool with Woodburn, Alexander-Arnold and Stewart. The latter 3 have a bright future ahead of them whereas the first 3 are now world stars. Could Cassata be the next one for Klopp?
Not much is known of the youngster but he plies his trade at Juventus at this current moment in time (on loan) and represents Italy at U20 level. His parent club (Ascoli Picchio) have a deal with Juventus in place that he may be able to move there at the end of his loan deal but it does not look like it will come to fruition having made just 3 appearences all season. A versatile player who can play across the midfield or at LB, Klopp may have seen a gem that Juventus may be missing out on.
Would he slot into Liverpool? Yes and quite easily really. CDM is a position that Liverpool lack and LB could become a firing pot for Liverpool as Cassata and Milner would be fighting over one position. I like Milner at LB as he does the job that is expected of him but to have real competition would be something that could motivate the Yorkshire born lad even more. As he has played a few games for Juventus already and is only on loan, a deal for the youngster may not come to light but a deal in the future could be easily done now that the world is aware of Liverpool’s interest in the Italian,
