So…the Transfer Window is closed till July. Time to evaluate how LFC did, in my opinion, with regards to the main ins and outs.

IN’S: Well this’ll be very short. Liverpool made a total of 0 signings in the January Transfer Window. Severe lack of squad depth cost LFC massively with being knocked out of both domestic cups in the process. Only 1 victory in 9 games across January saw LFC slip from 2nd to 4th rapidly and that one win came in the FA Cup which is now redundant as we lost to Wolves in the following round. Should LFC have made signings in January? Probably but Klopp didn’t see value for money in the linked rumours so the Summer will be interesting

OUTS: Mamadou Sakho. Sakho’s ultimate place of work became Crystal Palace in the end. Liverpool and Klopp believe he was surplus to requirements so a deal to take the play on loan at Palace was something that suited all parties. £2mil signing fee to LFC and Palace have to pay Sakho’s wages (usually there is a split between the two clubs). Shame that Sakho and Klopp could not build bridges but who knows, Sakho might be incredible at Palace and force his way back into Klopp’s good books. One can dream, I suppose.
All in all, not much to say really. No one of importance left but nobody came in. Quite uneventful to be honest. Hopefully the Summer will bring more signings.
