For the sake of this series, I am going to take a look at every single LFC player whether it is laughable that player would be sold or not. Clyne has become a steeple of Liverpool’s admittedly poor defence but has always contributed in both defence and attack. Would it be counterproductive to sell such a player? Yes. But there is always a chance, as with many players regardless of talent, that they may become surplus to requirements.
Stick: An obvious decision but a right one nonetheless, in my opinion. Clyne could walk into any team’s RB slot and feel right at home, a mark of a special player. Someone who can defend when necessary but can attack at a moments notice. Clyne is and should remain a mainstay within the LFC team.
