According to Tutto Mercarto (Italy), Liverpool are willing to spend €60mil on 2 players. Those players being AS Roma’s Leandro Paredes and Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic. A combined £52mil would seem appropriate for a mixture of youth in Paredes and experience in Klopp’s system in Perisic.
Ivan Perisic is having a standout season with the Black and Blue side of Milan, with 9 goals and 3 assists in 23 games while functioning anywhere behind the striker. A player who was moved on when under Klopp, it seems Klopp has realised that he may have struck gold originally and wants to reignite the formidable relationship again. £30mil seems to be the budget for the Croatian and would inject a new lease of life and experience into Liverpool’s youthful attack.
Leandro Paredes is one of the building blocks Klopp thinks he requires and, lets be honest, who are we to disagree? A player to start just infront of the back 4, Paredes is a box to box defensive midfielder who has allowed players like Naingollan to come into their own in front of goal. Imagine someone taking the defensive weight off of Emre Can and Wijnaldum and allow them to flood forward in support…this is what Paredes would bring to the team. £22mil for a young CDM? Risky but it’ll eventually pay itself off.
