On this day in 2007 Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-1 at Anfield.
Coming up against their fellow top four opponents Liverpool were looking to rectify their three previous winless matches ahead of the Champions League quarter final against PSV Eindhoven.
The match got underway in spectacular fashion for the Reds as Peter Crouch gave the hosts the lead within five minutes. Before doubling his tally and Liverpool’s lead for the day on 35 minutes. William Gallas was able to pull one back for Arsenal though it wasn’t enough to inspire a comeback and Peter Crouch completed his hat-trick to help Rafa Benitez’s Reds to a 4-1 win over the Gunners.
