The Telegraph broke a story last night that Liverpool and Klopp will target Arsenal’s forgotten winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The rumoured fee is an eye watering £35mil; a fee that has not detered Liverpool from potentially signing the youngster. Ox is going to be within the last 12 months of his Arsenal contract and, with Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla yet to renew their deals, Ox may not be high up Arsenal’s renewals so a move away may suit him.

This is the type of player that Klopp would definitely go for. The price seems way too high for a player who has made more sub appearences than starts and for someone with nearly 12 months left on his current deal. An explosive winger who can play in the centre in any formation would be welcome at Liverpool and would learn a great deal from Klopp. Paying £35mil would be a lot but Mane seemed overpriced for £34mil and he has been incredible. I can see Liverpool signing Ox but maybe for £25mil max.
