Amidst rumours Liverpool have opted to veto a move for Julian Brandt in favour of signing Mohamed Salah, news has emerged via the Egyptian’s agent suggesting a switch from Rome to Merseyside could be on the cards. Ramy Abbas Issa (Salah’s agent) recently posted a picture of a British Airways plane ticket to London; a city where Liverpool have established club offices.
Doubling down on rumours that the signing of Salah could be imminent was also Mr Abbas Issa following the official Liverpool FC (@LFC) account on Twitter and Instagram (Roma and Atlético Nacional are the only other clubs the Columbian agent follows) further fuelling the fire of this transfer rumour.
Of course this isn’t the first time Liverpool have expressed interest in signing Mohamed Salah, with a relatively high profile pursuit of the Egyptian falling through in January 2014 as he instead opted to join Chelsea instead of Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Salah is currently viewed by Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool as an alternative signing to Julian Brandt, let’s hope they are more successful in their endeavours to sign him this transfer window.
